Purpose & Rationale
This project was created as an interactive, visual addition to the “About Me” section of my portfolio website. It served both as a personal storytelling tool and a way to practise using Storyline sliders and variables — features I hadn’t worked with before.
The goal was to make my professional timeline more dynamic and engaging, while giving myself hands-on experience with interactive functionality often used in learning experiences.
Design Process
I reviewed my CV and selected key milestones from my career and education to include in the timeline. Using a minimalist black-and-white theme, I applied a subtle grey highlight to distinguish academic achievements from work experience.
A simple written storyboard guided the sequence and layout. The slider was configured to reveal dates and events progressively, with variables used to track interaction states and control content visibility.
Results & Reflections
While this was a concept project, it gave me the chance to explore both common and more advanced Storyline features in a low-pressure, creative context. Working with variables and custom sliders helped build confidence in creating more nuanced interactions.
I'm pleased with the final result and plan to integrate this timeline into the “About Me” section of my website to give visitors an interactive way to learn more about my journey.
